Overview

In this project, I developed an e-commerce platform tailored for a perfume shop, using a combination of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap 5, PHP, and MySQLi. The platform was designed to offer a seamless shopping experience, allowing users to browse fragrances, manage accounts, place orders, and track purchases. On the administrative side, I integrated robust management tools for handling product listings, order processing, customer profiles, and analytics.

The project was an opportunity to apply the knowledge I gained in my computer science studies to a real-world business scenario—our family’s perfume shop. By transitioning the business to an online retail model, I aimed to not only contribute to the academic understanding of e-commerce development but also provide a practical solution for the business to expand in the digital marketplace.

In developing this platform, I focused on creating an intuitive user experience, ensuring strong security measures, and building an efficient backend. The thesis demonstrates the application of web development techniques in building scalable e-commerce solutions and highlights the significance of user-centered design, backend functionality, and data analytics in modern online retail.
